Waterproof maintenance project for the fifth floor roof of Jinhua A1 area

    Chengdu Shuyu Building Waterproof Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sichuan Duocai Xiangrong Industrial Co., Ltd., is a professional building waterproof engineering construction company. With its exquisite technology, excellent quality, and high-quality services, it has undertaken the roof waterproofing maintenance project on the fifth floor of Jinhua A1 District, located at No. 18 North Station East 1st Road, Jinniu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. This project started in March 2023, and after careful planning and six months of dedicated construction, it was finally successfully completed and passed the acceptance inspection in August 2023. In this project, our company's polymer waterproof coating and SYR metal roof special waterproof coating were used for waterproofing construction.

    This project has considerable construction difficulty, mainly due to the construction of many flower beds and tiling on the roof, resulting in a very messy roof. To ensure the smooth progress of the project, before construction, we first remove the flower beds on the roof, the tiles on the ground, and the rigid protective layer, and transport the construction waste downstairs and out of the site. After the ground is leveled, we roll and apply concrete liquid hardener on the surface of the base layer to cure the base surface.

    In addition, some exhaust pipes have been added inside the insulation layer to ensure that the air pressure inside the roof insulation layer is balanced with the outside world, and to avoid bulging on the roof surface during summer. For the partition joints on the roof, we use polymer waterproof coating combined with 15cm wide polyester cloth for one cloth and three coats to strengthen the treatment.

    Subsequently, we applied Shuyu Type I polymer waterproof coating on the roof surface, fully covered it with specialized polyester cloth, and then applied Type I polymer waterproof coating. After the paint dries, we apply two coats of SYR metal roof waterproof coating on the surface.

    Finally, we conducted a closed water test to check if the roof was leaking. After confirming that there is no water leakage on the roof, we will make a rigid layer of cement mortar on the surface and leave separation joints. The separation joints will be finally filled with ointment.
